Meet Hero Jacob Ibarra! #TeamJacob #JacobStrong #ToughAsNails

Jacob is 17 and a Junior at Frenship High School. Jacob loves Cheeto puffs, sprite, trains, cars, playing games, parties, swimming, movies (especially those that have great music) and of course, he loves time with friends and family. He is loving, kind, gentle and has a heart of gold. This is especially helpful when he flirts with the girls. Check out that smile of his!

Jacob was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia just 5 days ago. (August 21, 2019) and has started treatment.

**Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common type of cancer in children. It affects certain cells in the immune system, called B cells and T cells. ALL usually affects B cells in children.**

**Children with Down syndrome have an extra (third) copy of chromosome 21. They are many times more likely to develop either acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) or acute myeloid leukemia (AML) than are other children, with an overall risk of about 2% to 3%.**

Thank you Rosemary, Sara, and Samantha for allowing Tough As Nails to share Jacob’s story, and honor your family! Thoughts and prayers are with you in this new chapter.
