Jonathan Hester

“Jonathan Hester is a bouncy, silly 4-year old who loves his family, his Legos, and his hair that’s grown back. Two days after Christmas 2017, he stopped breathing. Jonathan was revived and brought to Covenant Children’s where he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. A grapefruit-sized tumor was crushing down on his lungs and heart. Miraculously, he survived that first day as well as many more challenges down the road; infections, loss of blood protein, slow tumor response to chemo, 200+ days in the hospital, and learning to walk, talk, and eat again.”

“We have seen such healing and restoration in Jonathan. He gets to start preschool this month, which is such a dream come true that he has longed for but didn’t have the immunity for previously. The Hester family is so thankful for the support, love, and prayers from friends, family, caregivers, and former strangers. The community has meant everything to us, and God has been good to us!”
