“Tough As Nails, Inc.” is a Non-Profit 501c3 Organization established in honor of our son Hagen who had Leukemia (AML).

Our mission is to care for children and families affected by Childhood Cancer: by providing comfort, care, toys, food, necessities, and resources.

Tough as Nails began as a partner competition for our CrossFit community to support our local families affected by Pediatric Cancer. This has provided additional opportunities throughout the year, bringing awareness, raising funds, and providing in different ways.  In a nutshell, we help in ways that are often forgotten and or overlooked filling in the gaps where we can. We partner with both Pediatric Oncology departments at UMC and Covenant Childrens’ and when given the opportunity we also work directly with these families.

During our biggest event – our Tough As Nails Competition (which is also the largest competition in West Texas for CrossFit athletes), we collect hundreds of toys and or items from a wish list provided by the Pediatric-oncology departments. In addition, we are so privileged, to honor kids who have either gone through treatment or are going through treatment by sharing their stories and creating special workouts named after them.  These HERO workouts (WOD’s) are structured in ways to share their story and give a small glimpse into what they go through.

If you would like ideas and/or information on how you can be a part of our cause, please contact me, Kellie, if you are interested!

Most importantly… Please keep our organization, mission, event, and families in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you! – Travis & Kellie
